There is a lot of misunderstanding about what karma really is. Often the word is employed to make it mean both action and the results of action. But technically the word karma means action, and a separate expression, vipaka is used to indicate the results of action or reaction.

Karma may be good or bad, the result, could be good or bad.

However, the purpose of the Law of Karma is not to punish but rather teach lessons to help people grow and rise to higher levels of love, joy and light.

Yet if the actions are not linked with the results, the healing may be incomplete.
