The ancient Egyptians believed in many different gods and goddesses. Each one of them with their own role to play, maintaining prosperity, peace and harmony across the land. But each of those 42 provinces had their own favourites and it was not quite the same belief system all over the two countries, ruled under the double crown.

Horus is the falcon-headed God.

Horus was among the most important gods of Egypt, particularly because the Pharaoh was supposed to be his earthly embodiment. Kings would eventually take the name of Horus as one of their own.
